I was in my senior year of high school, when I found out that I was pregnant. Confused and scared, I was not ready for this. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how I could take care of a baby. I did not believe in abortion. I felt trapped.
The counselor talked with me and assured me that she would help me through this pregnancy. As she talked to me I began to calm down.
Through the Parenting Program, I found out how to take care of my baby before birth, after birth, and through the birth process. I received baby clothes and baby furniture through the Pregnancy Care Center. I went many times to the center and my counselor always listened to me and answered my questions.
The father of the baby didn’t believe that I was pregnant. He was in a state of denial until the baby started moving and kicking inside of me.
I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl. Both her father and I were so happy with her. A few months after she was born, her father and I were married. Two years later, we had another baby — a blond-haired, blue-eyed boy.
