When I had thoughts that I may be pregnant my cousin mentioned a place called the Pregnancy Care Center. The PCC helps girls figure out whether they're pregnant or not. That's not all. They talk to you about all your options; adoption, keeping your child and so on. If you may need some maternity or baby clothes to get you started, they also can provide that.

The lady that I first met in the PCC was very nice. She let me know that everything I said was confidential. She made me feel very comfortable, and that she and other ladies were there to help. I soon realized that I was going to need someone to talk to. Someone that didn't know me, could give me advice, who listens and will teach me. So for the next eight months I went to the PCC once a week to have what you call "counseling".

If you are a girl who's lost on what to do or who to go to, I strongly recommend going to the Pregnancy Care Center for help. While going to the PCC I worked on books. These books helped me understand what the cost of a baby will be and helped me with motherhood issues. I learned more about breastfeeding and how it helps you bond with your baby and things like that. I learned that you may have hard and frustrating times.

Before I went to the Pregnancy Care Center and before I became pregnant with my daughter, I really didn't know if I believed in God, or if He would forgive me for being pregnant at 17. I was not raised by a religious family so I didn't know much. I looked to God and I asked for His forgiveness. Now I know that I am God's child and He will love me unconditionally. I know that my daughter was given to me for a reason. To make me the person I am today.

The Pregnancy Care Center is there for a purpose. To help people like me and maybe you. The women in the Pregnancy Care Center are wonderful, loving people. They will stand beside you and help you in every way they can. They will help you find answers.
